For any story, the introduction is the most important. It sets
the tone and rythmn of the storyline, and determines if the reader
will stick with the entire story or leave it mid-way. Many
skillfully crafted stories, remain unexplored, because it's
introduction falls to net in the readers towards the juicy store.
Its like an advertisement for a newly opened store ... if the
advertisements are not alluring enough, the costumers feel little
need to explore.
The intro therefore, needs to be flashy and to the point. Methods
like humor and personnal experience are some of the best ways to
attract the reader.
1) Humor, beacause it makes the reader believe he will enjoy
reading your essay. (For eg., It was two minutes till noon, and all
I could do was lay on my bed and feel all my body fluids evaporate
through my skin. It so hot that the farmers had to feed crushed ice
to their chickens so they wouldn't lay hard-boiled eggs.)
2) Personal experience because it increases the chances that you
will be able to personally relate to your reader, hence creating a
direct link with them. (Eg., Teen pregnancy was something that
everyone feared about, but what would you do if it happened to your
own sister?)
Stalling to get into the main theme of the story will, however
ultimately only create your story's downfall.
(hey it's not dne yet, so tke a chll pll. I know it sounds quite
boooooring now ... but if u thnk u cn do bttr, thn jst gve me sme
cmmnts.)

I like the start to your lesson. I encourage you to continue writing it so I can read more of your ideas! :)
